Originally a specialist in bridge components and post-tensioning, Freyssinet has successfully expanded its portfolio of products and services into repair, protection and strengthening of structures and specialises in diagnostic surveys, repairs, refurbishment and cathodic protection to reinforced concrete in the building, civil and marine sectors.
Freyssinet operates as principal contractor, specialist subcontractor and supplier throughout the UK and Ireland. Freyssinet is able to support the full product and service range with an inhouse engineering design team. Clients include major and specialist contractors such as Costain, VINCI Construction, the Highways Agency, Local Authorities and developers.
Freyssinet has recently implemented its specialist knowledge on highly technical schemes such as Hammersmith Flyover (the UKs first and most significant full post tensioning replacement), Glasgow Underground refurbishment (a high profile full refurbishment of over 10km of tunnels) and Dong Siri oil platform strengthening works (The first ever fully waterproof post tensioned retro fit system applied to an oil rig).
Freyssinet is able to support the full product and service range with an in-house engineering design team, and is also supported by its sister companies, Corrosion Control Services Limited (CCSL), a specialist consultancy in the investigation and diagnosis of corrosion related deterioration, cathodic protection and electrochemical rehabilitation of structures and also Aquaforce, its specialist in-house hydro demolition team.
